On April 2, we recognize World Autism Awareness Day. It is a time to better understand autism and to support neurodiversity in our workplaces.
Autistic workers and others who are neurodivergent bring valuable skills, perspectives, and strengths. At the same time, many face barriers at work, including misunderstanding, lack of accommodations, and stigma.
As a union, we support fair and inclusive workplaces for everyone. This includes advocating for proper accommodations, accessible environments, and respect for different ways of working and communicating.
Inclusion means more than awareness. It means removing barriers and making sure people have what they need to succeed.
Thank you to all members who help create workplaces that are more inclusive and accessible for all.
